Copywriting AI Tool’s legit or overhyped?

How I generated a quality 2200 blog post in less than 15 minutes

So check this out…

I’ve been playing around with one of those ‘copywriting generators’ for a bit over the last few weeks trying to see how I could leverage it in my own marketing. I’m a skeptic of these kinds of tools, most of them feel like you’re playing mad libs by yourself with cliche hype templates.

The promise they make is to help you write better marketing copy quicker, but I tend to find their results to not just be cliche garbage, but also have zero personality. I know you can’t expect much from them, but still – if I’m gonna use a tool regularly I want it to do more than just bend the nails…

This is when I came across Jasper.ai. Again, I was skeptical, it had the promise to help generate quality content & copy quickly; but also with a bit of personality. ALONG with also producing persuasive copy by doing research as well. Yea right…

… but I gave it a try, and woah. Not to over hype, but seriously I’m a bit worried for entry level copywriters at this point haha. It’s like a paleontologist being invited to visit Jurassic Park, they’re going to be extinct…

After my first run through with it and I’m impressed for several reasons…

  1. It’s actually artificial intelligence in the strictest definition of the word. It doesn’t rely on gemic-y “fill in the blank” mad-lib style generation. It’s ‘AI’ is trained by the content it’s fed, and has access to swaths of content to draw from and generate content with.
  2. It’s not just one tool, it’s 30+! These tools can be daisy chained together to do really interesting things… I used 3 of the tools together to generate this 2200 word article on Persuasive Marketing, perfect for a blog post or the start of a ‘freemium’ guide. All in under 15 minutes.
  3. The tool itself is actively updated regularly, the owners aren’t some fly by night programmers half a world away… they’re based in Austin Texas and have major funding and a great team of developers. I’m tired of these half baked software companies that make “copy tools” and then vanish 6 months later. I like that I can trust this tool will stick around!

Here’s a 2200 word article I generated with the tools in this software, I combined 3 of their built in tools to 1.) generate the outline but just feeding it the topic… 2.) generate sub content from each bullet point generated in the outline and 3.) generate the introduction / conclusion with their “AIDA” tool…

Sounds a bit complex BUT it’s really not, here’s the full process I wrote up in a google doc for ya. —-> Check it out

So – why would I recommend this kinda tool when I have a book on how to write copy from scratch?

Well, main reason is that this tool wont replace “big ideas” (though It does have a tool to help generate them)… You’re still going to have to know a lot about your product and/or service, you’re still going to have to feed it some information about your business… it can’t read minds, yet (heh)…

Personally I’m using it to help me do research and come up with campaign angles much quicker then from scratch. Along with generating content for my blog & emails. The time I save wrestling with the foundational bits of copy can now be shifted over to more important things, like playing video games… (half kidding).

I seriously can’t recommend this software enough…

Unlimited Plan: https://link.sean.co/conversionai-unlimited [lock this in soon as you “see the light”, I just did (yes I pay for this I wasn’t just comped a plan hah)]

Starter Plan: https://link.sean.co/conversionai-details – you can see all their marketing materials and what not on the page here… but still recommend locking in the unlimited plan.

Yes I’m an affiliate, but as you know – I only affiliate stuff I use on the regular… and this copy & research tool is now basically my home page hah.

As always, do your research, but this is a no brainer for me to recommend. Especially if you’re an entrepreneur who writes ads, emails, product descriptions, social media posts, or love letters. (ok now I really wanna try and write a love letter with Jarvis.)

That’s all for now folks,
